Ye-Jun’s design was centered around the concept of “man who still stands at ease when ordering fast food even though he left the military 10 years ago.” given how no-nonsense he is. The upside is that Ye-Jun is the kind of guy you’d want being in charge of security operations, despite the fact he’s walking around with a metaphorical broom handle stuck up his ass. It isn’t anything like having permanent hall monitor syndrome, but its toeing that line.

As you’ll eventually see with other artwork a lot of Ye-Jun’s design comes down to “Built like a fridge with the personality of a battle axe” but considering the people he has to deal with, and keep safe, it makes sense. You ever tried to keep a bunch of enlisted from fucking themselves up? Now multiply that by 800,000 and throw in other officers to that equation; you’ll start to understand.
